How long is the program?
The program runs throughout the school year through the AP exam.
What topics do you cover?
We teach all of the concepts from Unit 1 to 8 as well as prep for the AP exam itself. I've had several students self-study for the AP exam itself without taking AP Physics 1 in school at all.
How many hours a week of work is needed?
It can vary based on how quickly a student picks up the material, but about 2-3 hours per week is the average. That's broken down into
2 Hours of Classes per Week
1 Hour of Homework per Week
There's actual extra support classes if students are struggling a bit more, so it can be more hours/classes per week.
We want students do learn that doing a little work each week will go much farther than trying to cram a bunch of work into a short time. Speaking as someone who did Electrical Engineering at Berkeley and Stanford, cramming is not the way to be successful in those programs with hard classes.
How many classes per week is it?
It depends. Think of the program as having objectives each week.
Each week, I'm looking for my students to learn to solve a particular type of problem and a skill. And there are live lessons, and homework to assist with that.
Some weeks, students will pick it up quickly, and they will learn that week's skill with only needing maybe 1 class that week.
Other weeks, the material may prove more difficult and they come to more help sessions (maybe even 3-4) in order to fully grasp it.
When are the class times?
You can see the available class times in the registration form.
You can also see the schedule on Google Calendar.
Are there any refunds offered?
If your student does the following at a minimum (they can do way more if they want!)
* Attends 2 help sessions
* Asks about 4 homework problems (can be school problems) in Q&A or Discord
* Watch 2 video lessons OR attend a live lecture
Then I'll refund that $400 back to you. Even if they love the program and want to continue.
Do you offer any demo lessons?
No we don't offer any demo lessons because the support and pieces are varied. That's why the first month is free as long as the students do the work!

Our program is designed to be completely flexible. During the school year, we have three pieces to help specifically with this.
1) We have help sessions where students come by and ask about any topic they need help. Including topics that may be out of order or specific to their teacher.
2) We have unit review sessions where we review and cover older topics. So even in December, while we may be focusing on Unit 4, we will have weekly review lessons on Unit 1, Unit 2, and Unit 3.
3) Students also have access to our Q&A area and Discord server where they can ask questions whenever they're stuck on a problem. We provide video explanations (via loom) on any problems they need help with specific to their school work.
Regular Pricing (After March 31st): $375
